Kiley B. MacDonald, Attorney at Law

Kiley joined The Trademark Group in 2005 to accommodate a growing demand for the firm’s domestic and international trademark services. She handles trademark clearance, prosecution and portfolio management for companies of all sizes throughout the world.

Before focusing her career on trademark law, Kiley worked closely with branded consumer companies on strategic and financial issues. She served as a strategy consultant in Boston, Massachusetts advising Fortune 500 businesses on brand expansion strategies, market positioning and customer segment profitability. In San Francisco, she worked as a private equity analyst, evaluating retail, restaurant and consumer product investments, before joining a start-up where she lead a team that negotiated and implemented contracts with strategic partners.

Kiley’s previous law experience includes a clerkship at Weinstock, Manion, Reisman, Shore & Neumann in Century City, California. She earned a JD from UCLA School of Law, concentrating in business law and intellectual property.

Kiley is glad to be back in her hometown of San Diego where she and her husband are raising their three young children. She dreams of someday traveling the world again when her children are older.
